Master Lepard is a 5th Dan (Blackbelt) in Hapkido. Master Lepard started training in Martial Arts in 2002. He has been studying Hapkido for 22 years, and has been teaching Hapkido for 18 years.
Hapkido is a Korean martial art, which relies on knowledge and movement, rather than strength to complete techniques.
Our mission is to create an environment of friendship and trust , where working hard, and improving our skills, are our common goals. To promote Hapkido in a positive way; to help our members to become physically strong, and confident in their abilities to defend themselves, and others.

Todd Ravinett began his study of Hapkido in 1994 at the University of California, Berkeley. After two and a half years of dedicated training, he completed his academic studies and relocated from the area. Although deeply passionate about Hapkido, he was unable to find a school to continue his training until 2021, when he joined Lepard’s Hapkido in Hyde Park, New York.
Under the instruction of Master Lepard, Mr. Ravinett advanced through the ranks with commitment and discipline, earning the rank of First Dan Black Belt on June 14, 2025. He continues to train actively and contributes to the school by assisting in the instruction and development of fellow students.

2 Reasons
1st: Many of the techniques we employ involve the twisting or torquing of joints, and while young people are still
growing, I personally don’t recommend it for them.
2nd: Those same techniques are meant for real self defense, and not for the playground.
Yes it’s true, rolls and falls are a important part of Hapkido. They enable us to execute our techniques at full speed.
However this can be a long process, depending on your abilities. Every consideration is given to anyone who wants to train, whether recovering from an injury or dealing with any physical impediment. Ultimately you decide what you can and can not do. I can tell you I have seen people come in and say “I can‘t do a roll and not sure if I’ll ever be able to “
One such student is a 4th Dan in Hapkido now.
